Once a viable, qualified candidate has been identified and thoroughly screened by both our recruitment team as well as your hiring manager(s), we reach the point to which an offer of employment is extended.
At Best Sales Recruiters, our clients typically rely on us to not only communicate all offers of employment to our candidates, but assist in any type of compensation negotiations.
When it comes to employee compensation, the majority of our clients have established compensation ranges for each role that they would like to stay between. This only becomes an issue when the predetermined compensation range is not based on current market data.
Our underlying goal is always to identify, recruit and deliver high performing sales talent to our clients - our candidates are typically in the top 10% of sales people within their respective industries. That being said, it is not uncommon for these candidates to have compensation requirements that are higher than the client's predetermined salary range. This holds especially true when you are targeting a candidate who is, not only gainfully employed, but earning on average 15-20% more than their peers.
While we rely on current compensation data and analytics supplied by third party providers, we take each individual's compensation requirements on a case-by-case situation. It has been our experience that the compensation ranges of top performer sales candidates are, on average, 15-25% higher than their lower performing peers.
As an employer, you have to determine if you want to meet a particular candidate's compensation requirements based on the level of skill and experience they bring to your role.
